Carl Edwards wins at Texas

Edwards finishes 1st after starting 30th. on the grid.

Carl Edwards led off and on throughout the latter part of the race as his pit crew had problems keeping Edwards first when pitting, losing as many as 5 positions but working his way to the front to take the lead only to fall back again after pitting the last time. Although entering the pit first only to find himself 6th when exiting, Edwards has enough car to pull ahead and take the lead on the last 2 laps.

Edwards places top 5 in Busch Series event

Carls Edwards places 5th after starting 38th on the pole for the Sam's Town 250 | Memphis Motorsports Park for the Busch Series. Clint Bowyer wins after starting 35th.

As for the Nextel Cup, Edwards finishes 26th at Martinsville for the Subway 500.

Carl Edwards shows a top 10 finish

Carl finishes 9th at the Points Race 400 at Dover International Speedway. After starting 32nd on the pole Edwards fights his way thru the pack to hang on to a 9th place finish.

Jimmie Johnson wins the 400 and another rookie Kyle Busch takes 2nd.

Edwards at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400/Emerson Radio 250

A tough weekend for Carl after a coming off a great weekend last week. At the Emerson Radio 250 Carl finishes 28th after starting 2nd on the pole and at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 Carl finishes 21st after starting 18th. Well a tough one all the way around.

Carl finishes top 5 at California

Carl Edwards finishes 4th. after starting first on the grid at the Sony HD 500 in Fontana, California.

An exciting weekend for Edwards as he finishes 1st in the Ameriquest 300 and then takes the pole for the Sony HD 500 and concludes the weekend by a 4th place finish.

    Carl Edwards wins Busch Series Ameriquest 300

    Edwards won Saturday night's NASCAR Busch Series Ameriquest Mortgage Company 300 just a few hours after winning the pole for Sunday's Nextel Cup Sony HD 500.

    Carl will donate this weekends race winnings for Hurricane relief.

    I can't thank my crew enough," said Edwards, who won $89,076. "I'm going to donate my winnings tonight to the hurricane relief fund. We're thinking about you guys."

    "It's a very special win because of what happened to the people in New Orleans," said Brad Parrott, Edwards' crew chief. "We're not the ones suffering; it's the people of New Orleans and Mississippi. My house is open to anyone who can come up to Huntersville, North Carolina."

    Edwards wins pole for NASCAR Sony HD 500

    Carl Edwards claimed his first career series pole with a lap of 185.061 miles per hour in a Ford Taurus. He will start on the inside of the front row along side teammate Mark Martin in Sunday's Sony HD 500.

    Carl Edwards finishes 4th. after starting 12th. on the pole at the GFS Marketplace 400 at Michigan Speedway. Carl works his way up after some great pit assistance and aggressive driving.

    Tough day for Carl at Daytona this weekend

    After starting 11th. on the pole, Edwards had a tough day at the Winn-Dixie 250 finishing 36th.

    In the Nextel Series Pepsi 400 Edwards started 34th. on the pole only to finish one up to 33rd. after leaving race on lap 146.

    Carl Edwards wins Pocono 500

    Edwards wins the Pocono 500 after starting way back in 29 position on the pole. Another rookie Kyle Busch finished 4th. while starting 38th. Travis Kvapil finishes a modest 17th. starting at 33rd position.

    Edwards does well at the Coca-Cola 600

    Carl shows up to race! After a rough week last week Carl takes 3rd. at the Coca-Cola 600/Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Memorial Day Weekend. He starts 12 on the pole to deliver an impressive 3rd. place finish. Jimmie Johnson takes the checkered flag.
    Another rookie to watch, racing in the INDY-CART series, is DANICA PATRICK. She started an unbelievable race 4th. on the pole to lead at the end of the race only to finish 4th. due to fuel consumption. It was a race to see and remember. Wow is the word.

    Edwards has a tough day at the All-Star Challenge and finishes 15th overall. Mark Martin takes the Flag.

    Interesting bits:Matt kenseth was the first Ford driver to win the all-star race since Mark Martin in 1998.

    Missing top 10 finish by one...

    Edwards finishes 11th after taking the checkered flag at Darlington Raceway for the Diamond Hill Plywood 200. Matt Kenseth took the control in the second half of the race to win at Darlington to earn his 18th career win.

    Edwards at Talladega

    Carl Edwards suffered another tough day at Talladega, coming home 33rd in the Aaron's 499. Edwards suffered an early race penalty for pitting out of the box, then was involved in the big wreck later in the race.
